Project
When MIT decided to announce The Engine, a new initiative that aims to fill the gap between scientific and technological entrepreneurial activity and commercialization, a website and other materials were needed—on a very short timeline—to support the effort.
Methodology
Our team collaborated with a cross-functional team from across the Institute and web firm Blue State Digital to create a website that could meet the needs for launch but also scale in the future. We managed the project from start to finish, assisting with everything from sourcing photography to inputting content to providing ongoing support post-launch. We also managed other needs for the launch, including producing wall murals for the event space and T-shirts for event giveaways.
Results
During the first 24 hours The Engine site was live, it received nearly 10,000 visitors and more than 22,000 page views. Post-launch, the site was easily expanded to include a “Team” page and a page for startups interested in participating in The Engine.
